WOD - April 23, 2012 - Monday

Workout of the Day

Warm-Up: 3 Rounds of:
* 10x Pull-ups
* 10x T2B
Do NOT drop from the bar until all three sets are complete, if grip strength allows.

Strength: 5x3 Snatch high pull AHAP

Work Capacity: "Diane" 21-15-9 reps for time of:
* Deadlift (225#/155#)
* HSPU

Extra Credit Skill: EMOTM 10 minutes of:
* 3x Unbroken muscle-ups

  1. Warm up: Done. Really tough. Kept dropping from the bar, but tried my best to minimize dropping.

    Strength: 135,155,185, 155,155

    WC: Deadlift @ 185#. Finished in 14:00. The dead lift at that weight and HSPU are getting easier by the day. I will increase the weight of dead lift next time to keep challenging myself. Overall it was fun.

  2. Warm-up: I came off twice I was experimenting with thumb over or under the bar can't tell which is better
    Strength: 165,185,205 for last 3 sets. Didn't have much trouble pulling 205 to chest or higher but feel like I was pulling with my back too much and not getting the hamstring stretch.
    Work capacity: 3:53, disaster way off my pr. Dead lifts were really fast but I hit a wall on the 11th rep of 15 with the hspu and did them all strict.
    Extra: muscle-ups are improving

    Strength: 175, 175, 175, 185, 185

    WC: 10:27

    EC: 9:08

  4. warm up: done (dropped a bunch from the bar)

    strength: 125, 145, 155, 165, 165#

    work capacity: 17:57 @ 195# (changed up the position of my HSPU from looking at the wall to looking away from the wall)

    extra credit: practiced muscle-ups. getting closer to completion every time!
